Subject: BULLYING & HARASSMENT, METROPOLITAN LINE SOUTH COVER GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we congratulate the Lead Officer and our representatives on the progress made on these matters; especially the re-instatement of Bro Mahoney and the easing off by management on our other members.

We note that the letter of 17th December 2018 from the company is acceptable to the Trains Functional Council reps; and we welcome this and we stay in dispute for the time being to monitor the situation.

Members to be advised by email and text.

Union action wins concessions on Bakerloo Line South Group

The threat of strikes has secured significant concessions from London Underground management on the Bakerloo Line South Group.

The company has made an explicit commitment to scrap its previous policy of designating certain duties less important to cover, and shift to a policy of instructing managers to “make every effort” to cover all duties as a default.

Bosses have also committed to launch a review of the baseline staffing level, via which RMT reps will be making proposals for additional jobs.

RMT announces Boxing Day strike on Bakerloo line

Following an overwhelming YES vote for action by RMT Bakerloo South Group members over the Company’s failure to ensure sufficient shift coverage in line with previous commitments given the union has confirmed a programme of industrial action, warning that LU’s current position creates undue stress on staff and puts all members and the travelling public at increased risk.

Strike dates named as Bakerloo South group votes for industrial action

Subject: DUTIES/SHIFT COVERAGE, BAKERLOO LINE SOUTH GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We congratulate our Bakerloo Line Branch and representatives for running a successful campaign to highlight the need to ballot for industrial actions in light of the
companies disregard for their own policies and procedures and creating undue stress on our members; putting them and the travelling public at risk.

That we note that the ballot results are as follows:

The result for strike action is:-

RMT in dispute with LU over uncovered duties

That we note the report from the Lead Officer regarding talks with the company; and that we have had no satisfactory undertaking that duties will be sufficiently covered. It actually appears to be the case that if they could get away with skeleton staffing all stations they would!

This breaching of their own policy and procedure creates undue stress on our members and puts them and the travelling public at risk’ representing a breakdown in trust between the company, their staff and this union.

We therefore instruct the General Secretary to:

Metropolitan South group to be balloted over management bullying

Subject: BULLYING BY MANAGEMENT, METROPOLITAN LINE SOUTH COVER GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND

We note the report from the Lead Officer, and that despite the Stations & Revenue Functional Council Reps best efforts in raising these matters with the company they have remained belligerent and:

Refused to re-instate Bro Mahoney and drop the misplaced charges against him.
Continue to victimise our Rep Bro Rollinger and Bro Glasstone.

LU: reinstate brother Mahoney or we will ballot for industrial action

Subject: BULLYING BY MANAGEMENT, METROPOLITAN LINE SOUTH COVER GROUP – LONDON UNDERGROUND

That we note the report from our Lead Officer; that the issues of bullying and maltreatment of our members remains unresolved.

We also note the company has undertaken to review the dismissal of Bro Mahoney, and state here and now that unless Bro Mahoney is re-instated without delay; this union will issue them the notice and commence a ballot of our members for industrial action(s).
