Piccadilly Line Drivers Balloted As 'Management Are Riding Roughshod Over Agreements'

We note the report from our Regional Organiser and the resolution from our Finsbury Park branch.

We note that it is the unanimously-held view of our drivers' representatives and branch officers on the Piccadilly line that the union should ballot Piccadilly line drivers for strike action without delay.

Our representatives believe that the line's management are riding roughshod over agreements and for some time appear to have been deliberately misinterpreting policy on SPADs, holistic reports and attendance, particularly at Arnos Grove.

Jubilee Line Strike Suspended Following Progress At ACAS Talks

We note the report from our lead officer, and welcome the progress made at ACAS talks.

Accordingly, we instruct the General Secretary to suspend our strike action beginning at 00:01 on Tuesday 2 April.

A report is to be placed in front of us as to whether the dispute is fully resolved within time to allow strike action to be called should it not be resolved.

RMT produces newsletter on Bakerloo detrainment dispute

Click on the attachment to see an RMT newsletter on the Bakerloo detrainment dispute. Main stories follow:

RMT suspends Bakerloo action

RMT on Thursday 21st of March agreed to suspend the Bakerloo detrainment action. While noting that progress had been made since the initial introduction of ‘flash and dash’, LU’s proposals fully accepted by ASLEF, fell short of the union’s aspirations for a proper detrainment policy that would be acceptable elsewhere on the combine.

Jubilee Dispute Goes To ACAS

We note the correspondence from London Underground Ltd, and that talks about this dispute are scheduled to take place under the auspices of ACAS on Wednesday 27 March.

London Transport Regional Council and branches to be advised.

RMT Calls For Urgent Discussion Over Missing Bonus Payment

We note the correspondence from London Underground Ltd attempting to justify the non-payment of the end-of-year £100 CSS bonus to staff. None of the documentation provided by the company shows this union agreeing to, or even being advised of, this policy.

We instruct the General Secretary to table this for urgent discussion at LUL Company Council and to seek the support of the other LUL trade unions for the restoration of this £100 stolen from our members by their employer.
